The same idea, in a browser
If you've played The Jackbox Party Pack, you know the format: one shared screen, with everyone playing from their phone. Playcade works the same way. It's a separate, independent product, not connected to Jackbox Games.
What's different
Playcade is free, and there's nothing to buy or set up: you open a web page on the TV. Alongside word and drawing games, it has real-time action games such as racing and shoving, played live on the big screen. Jackbox has a much bigger library, so if you want the most games, it's worth a look too.
How to start
- Open playcade.party in the browser on your TV, or on a laptop connected to it.
- The screen shows a four-letter room code and a QR code.
- Everyone scans the QR with their phone, picks a name and a colour, and they're in.
